Belinda Maldonado

Belinda Maldonado was among the 3,000 employees who were laid off when Caesar’s Entertainment, Inc. merged with Harrah Entertainment, Inc. in Atlantic City, NJ.

It was very upsetting for Belinda to lose her job; however, she had always wanted to go back to school. “I thought this would be a perfect time in my life to try a new career path,” she expresses.

Belinda was very interested in the Massage Therapy field. She had heard it was a great career for single moms who needed flexible schedules with good pay. “I am divorced with two kids and I hated that my previous jobs were not rewarding enough for me and my children.”

She chose to enroll into the Massage Therapy program at the Harris School of Business in Linwood, NJ. “I felt secure in my decision and I knew that this institute would help me achieve my goals.”

Belinda shares, “Once I began school, I loved it. I was blessed with great and caring instructors, always going the extra mile to help me understand the courses and help me feel confident.”

Belinda now works as a massage therapist at two prestigious spas: Compass Spa & Wellness in Ocean City and Therapeutic Touch in Egg Harbor. She is also an instructor at the Harris School of Business, teaching students’ computer and keyboarding classes because of her previously obtained degree in Accounting. “I love my jobs! My income has now become more stable and I feel like I have regained control over my life.”

“My quality of life has improved immensely because of everyone’s dedication at the campus and I am very grateful for their assistance and confidence in me. Enrolling into the Massage Therapy program has opened many doors to opportunity, growth, and career advancements and that is why my life is successful.”Harris School of Business
